Solder & Glass or Pewter & Resin, Which is Best Suited for You?
We offer two styles of casement on our jewelry, our original solder & glass style as well as a pewter and resin version. All materials are lead-free. The solder & glass is chunkier and a bit bigger. For those who prefer a more petite style, pewter & resin is an excellent choice, and at a lower price, and waterproof. See comparison pictures below.
Solder & Glass
Our "original recipe" is constructed in much the same way as stained glass. Each 2-sided pendant and bracelet charm is contained in glass with edges finished in a lustrous lead-free silver tone solder. This style is great for those who like a vintage-style uniquely handcrafted look.
Pewter & Resin
We also offer all of our charms in lead-free pewter and resin. They are a slimmer, more petite, version of all the same great artwork we incorporate into our designs. Our Circles Collection is available in pewter and resin only. These items are waterproof.
Suggested Cleaning
The solder used to frame our solder & glass charms contains a small content of real silver. Over time some tarnish will appear and we recommend cleaning the charms, as well as the chains, with the same polishing cloth used for your fine jewelry. A wipe of a damp cloth will keep the glass sparkling. Do not immerse any of these products in water or cleaning solution. The pewter and resin pieces are all waterproof and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. do not use chemical cleaners on the resin.
